The best description of Benjamin's life is the one by his wife Mary that was quoted in "Historical Sketches of Dickson County Tennessee, by Jill Knight Garrett. See Mary's record for that information.
Ben was born on his father's farm in Rutherford County. In the 1860 census his family lives in Davidson County. In the 1870 census they live in Williamson County. In 1880 he is married and is a farmer living in Dickson County, as is true in the 1900, 1910, and 1930 census records.
Have picture of his grave stone.

Married by a Methodist preacher, Parson White.
Per the historical sketch with Mary, the marriage date is 16 Feb, though TM Oliphant had it listed as 15 Feb.
