Silas, her son, says she was born on the Nolensville Pike in Davidson Co.
Other researchers (i.e. Bob Carney rbtcarney@cox.net) list the following information for Mary that I have yet to confirm:
Mary was the daughter of John B. Fitzhugh and Nancy Blackman. John was the son of Samuel Fitzhugh (1765-1831) and Lydia Hopkins (1765-1839) who with their 8 children moved to Davidson Co from Guilford Co NC between 1801-1804. Samuel was the son of John and Mary Fitchew/Fitzhugh of Dorchester Co MD. John was the son of Thomas and Susanna Fitchew/Fitzhugh of Dorchester Co MD. Mary was the daughter of Richard and Elizabeth Busick of Dorchester Co MD.
