In 1850, Cheatham County has not yet been formed. Jessee and his family are living in Davidson County; the district is not stated on the census form. His neighbors are Demombreuns and Doziers.
In 1860, Jessee and his family are living in District 1 of Cheatham Co. (which was formed out of Davidson, Dickson, and Montgomery Counties in 1856), with the same neighbors around him. In other words, he has not moved; his land is now located in the new Cheatham County.
1850 Census, Davidson County:
Jessee T. Carney 42 M
Eliz Carney 35 F
A. J. Carney 18 M
Harret Carney 5 F
U??? Carney 1 F
1860 Census, District 1, Cheatham County:
J. T. Carney 53 M TN
E. Carney 47 F MS
U. P. Carney 12 F TN

Jessee does not appear in the 1870 census. Elizabeth and U.P. are living next door to John and Harriet (Carney) Davis in District 25 of Davidson County. He appears to have died between the 1860 and 1870 census.
