[621] Per Ruby Barnes, Laura had a brother named D.W. Hooper, and shared a picture of him with me. I had therefore assumed her maiden name to be Hooper.

Richard Hewgley of Michigan, however, provided a copy of her death certificate. Her maiden name, parents' names, birth date, and death date comes from this source. Died of a cerebral hemorrhage.
