Richard Hewgley of Michigan (Max@netonecom.net) provided a copy of Charley's death certificate, and additional information on Charley and his descendants in Michigan.
The death certificate states he had lived in the community of Detroit for 22 years; if he moved directly there that means that he moved to MI in about 1924.
In 1910 census, Charles is 31 years old and residing in Nashville, and had been married for 8 years. In his home is Laura B.(wife), 26yo; Maybelle (dau) 6yo; Myrtle (dau) 4yo; Charles (son), 2yo; and an infant son Howell H. He was working as a switchman on the railroad.
In 1930 census, Charles is 51 years old and residing in Detroit. He still is employed as a switchman on the railroad. In his home is Laura B (wife), Charles B. (son) 23yo, Sidney G. 19yo son, and a daughter in law, Myrtella.
