Was married a second time to a man who ran a carnival up around Chattanooga. (source: Ruby Hewgley Barnes)
A Davis family photo that was in the belongings of Elba Hewgley Oliphant listed her name on the back as "Thelma Inez Davis Nelson". Apparently her second husband's surname was Nelson. This is confirmed by her sister Valerie's obit, which lists her as "Mrs. Thelma Nelson of Florida".
