A Davis family photo that was in the belongings of Elba Hewgley Oliphant listed her name on the back as Walter Wilson Davis.
Obituary:
Miami, Fla.
DAVIS, Walter W. - Age 69 years, formerly of Nashville, Tenn. died at his home in Miami, Fla. of a heart attack Wednesday, Nov. 14, 1973. Survived by wife, Mrs. Lillian Davis; two daughters, Marie of Pontiac, Mich. and Mrs. Dollie Mai Barker of Hialeah, Fla.; one son, Dale Davis of Clarksville, Tenn.; seven sisters, Mrs. Virgil Hewgley, Mrs. Veleria Underwood, Mrs. Dollie Fowler, all of Nashville, Mrs. Johnny Casey, and Mrs. Augusta Mayo of Ashland City, Mrs. Bessie Morgan of Blakley, Ga., Mrs. Thelma Nelson of Florida; grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Funeral services 10 O'clock Saturday morning in Miami. Burial in the Flagler Cemetery.
