Elba 'Honey' Oliphant, 89, of Bartlett, homemaker, died Saturday at her home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Goodlettsville, Tenn., with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery there. Forest Hill Funeral Home East has charge. She was a member of Sycamore View Church of Christ. Mrs. Oliphant, the widow of Ward Hassell Oliphant, leaves two daughters, Diane Scott of Bartlett and Lana Stewart of Alpharetta, Ga.; a son, Ivie Ward Oliphant of Oklahoma, 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Nashville Church of Christ Disaster Relief.

Elba Elizabeth "Honey" Hewgley OLIPHANT - Formerly of Nashville, TN. Born February 11, 1916, passed away June 4, 2005 in Memphis, TN. Preceded in death by husband, Ward Hassell Oliphant. Survived by son, Ivie Ward Oliphant of Bixby, OK; daughters, Diane Scott of Bartlett, TN & Lana Sue Stewart of Alpharetta, GA; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. She was a member of Sycamore View Church of Christ, Memphis, TN. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2005 at Forest Lawn Chapel, with Minister Curt Sparks officiating. Interment to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, with Ward Oliphant, Eric Oliphant, John Scott, David Scott, Jeffrey Stewart, Christian Nuthak, Mathew St. James & Paul da Cunba serving as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers are Brian Colquette & David Mulford. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, 5 - 8 p.m., at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, Inc., 410 Allied Drive, Nashville, TN 37211.
