Tombstone says she was the "wife of John, dau of Jacob and Margaret Hewgley".
In 1850 Census(p 449) she is living two doors down from William and George Hewgley, in District 25, Wilson, TN.
Per Robert Powell Carver (posted at http://members.aol.com/genny1/carver1.html):
"Mary Hummer Hewgley was the sister of James Hummer, who was drowned in Stones River with her husband James Hewgley...and these two men are buried in the Hessey Graveyard east of Carver Lane, WCT
James Hewgley was a brother of Rebecca Hewgley who married John Hessey, and their daughter was Mary Ann Hessey who married Charles Wright (RH, JH, MAH, and CW all buried in Hessey Graveyard). "
