INDEX

[328] Married Isaac in 1817. In the 1820 census, the Isaac Carver home contains a male 26-45 years old (that would be Isaac); a female 26-45 years old (that would be Mary); plus a female 10-16, two females under 10, and four males under 10 years old. Since it would be impossible for Isaac and Mary to have had seven children in the three years they've been married, it is certain that either Isaac or Mary or both came to the marriage with children from a previous marriage. The Carver family Bible does not mention a previous marriage of Isaac, so it appears that while one or two of the youngest children in their home in 1820 were by their union to each other, the majority of these were actually Hugeley children from James and Mary's marriage.

Buried in the Carver Graveyard, 14 miles from Nashville on Central Pike on the old Isaac Carver Homestead.
