In 1850 Census, John is 35 years old and living in District 25 of Wilson County with wife Malinda (age 22) and children Melsury (13), James (9), Mary (2), and Ann (2/12).
There is a marriage between a John Hugeley and a Martha M. Cawthon that takes place on 2/6/1837, with Isaac Rutland providing the bond. This record record in Marriages of Wilson County by Edyth Whitley and others. This marriage is attributed as a first marriage for John W., the son of Abraham by most researches I've seen. It is possible, however, that it is a record of the marriage for this John. Since his first child is born about 1837, if Martha's middle initial M. stands for Malinda they could be the same person.
