"S. H. Hewgley Goes to Reward

Sam H. Hewgley, age 66, died at his home in the First District, north of Mt. Juliet Tuesday, November 5. He had been a member of the Church of Christ for about twenty-five years and was one of the leading farmers of the county, owning several hundred acres of land. The funeral services were held at the Faimly Cemetery. Wednesday afternoon by Elder R.V. Cawthon.
Surviving him are: his wife, Mrs. Burnettie Wright Hewgley, children, Mrs. Virgil Eakes, mrs. J. H. Weaver, Jesse W, Rufus, Henry and Elmer, one foster son, Daniel Hudson, two sisters, Mrs. W. T. Vaughn and Miss Tinnie Hewgley."
