INDEX

[2208] The Richardson family came to Dickson County sometime before 1820, as the 1820 census lists 4 Richardson families present in Dickson County:
Austin Richardson
Lebcus? Richardson
Samuel Richardson
Winnifred Richardson

Squire's family was evidently in Tennessee for some time before that, however, as he was born in about 1805 and his birthplace in census records is listed as Tennessee.

Squire appears in his own home for the first time in the 1830 census, and appears in each census from that point through the 1880 census in Dickson County. His occupation consistently is listed as "Farmer".

According to 1880 census, both parents were from Virginia. Other researchers have identified Austin Richardson as his father, though I don't know the source of this information.
