Mrs. Mary R. Oliphant
Prayer services will be held Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Richardson Oliphant, 85, formerly of burns, Tenn., who died yesterday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. T. Brown, 2108 Blair Boulevard, following a three months' illness.
Prayer will be conducted at the Pettus and Owen Funeral Home, and funeral services will follow in the Church of Christ in Burns at 3 p. m. Elder S. P. Pittman will officiate at the funeral, and burial will be in the Richardson burial ground near Burns.
The widow of B. M. Oliphant, who died about a year ago, Mrs. Oliphant came to Nashville from her home near Burns about four years ago. She had been a member of the Church of Christ here.
She is survived by five sons, T. M. and A. B. Oliphant, Sr., of Nashville, E. E. and J. W. Oliphant of Dickson and H. C. Oliphant of Burns; four daughters, Mrs. E. A. Chandler, Mrs. C. T. Brown, Mrs. W. O. Brown and Mrs. W. O. Baker of Nashville; 34 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.

Baker of Nashville; 34 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. The remains are at the Pettus and Owen Funeral Home, 4506 Charlotte Avenue, where prayer service will be Sunday at 1 p. m. Funeral services will be from the Burns, Tenn., Church of Christ Sunday at 3 p.m., conducted by Elder S. P. Pittman. Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Interment Richardson Burial Ground near Burns, Tenn.
